G36e

What about the G36E ? I've heard that it's not restricted does any any of you have one ? I'am wondering what it looks like ..

The G36E is the export version of the G36 I believe. I'm pretty sure it's now called the G36V.

As far as I know the only civilian versions of the G36 are the SL-8 and the R8. Both are pretty butchered and take hundreds of dollars worth of conversions and kits to even resemble the G36.

I don't know about the G36E but there is a few G36C and G36K for sale. Check SOCOM Supply ads at the top of the page...

THere are a few unrestricted G36E in Canada. It looks like a fullsize G36 with no FA position.

Technically there is no 'civilian' version of the G36 since German law does not allow HK to export the G36 to civilian end users. For the same reason there is no 'export' version - the semi auto version is just a version made semi only for LE users who prefer it.

The G36E/V is a semi auto only G36 which got to Canada through various sources (such as theatrical armorers) and just happens to be legal in Canada (happily). But it is not a 'civilian' G36.
