I'd suggest contacting an Airgun outfit and buying what they recommend.

Last time I picked up anything along those lines, I bought the stuff in conjunction with a spring replacement from Maccarri (spelling) in the States, years ago, he had IIRC, two types of 'tar' for springs, and some grease for the pistons, and it was not expensive.

If you really do want to #### around with local sourced stuff, I would look in to the food safe grease used in various kitchen machines. Confirm by research, but I think it is a silicone based grease.
 
I have a HW98KT and lubed it with Maccarri moly 20,000 shots ago.
Still running well with low SD and good velocity.
Takes only a very small amount on the compression cylinder walls to do the job.
I hear Honda has some moly that works well.

G96 RFG Gun Grease shouldn't be used on a springer piston. The recommended lubricant is molybdenum disulfide with a high moly content. For best results it should be used sparingly.

Little goes a long way. I still got the jar and done a few springers.
