G98 replacement stock or substitutes?

Guy in my local club picked up a free all matching (whats left)g98 he now wants to sporter. To be back to full military configuration all it needs is a stock. In an effort to stop the hack saw i am trying to source him a replacement stock. So is there any options for originals or another countrys copy? Thanks very much.

Turkish copy of the g98 stock would be the cheapest but you still have the problem of hardware.

Rear sight inlet, and band spacing will be off with a Turk stock if your friend is restoring a G98 in WW1 trim (i.e Lange rear sight). Easiest may be a South American M98 stock with some work or an original G98 stock if you find one.
