so had my gsg 1911 out to the range , it blew back on me , thankfully had glasses on , the rim came off the round and powder blew back at me . Looking the gun over afterwards I notice the slide is split !!! Was not the last time I had it to the range or would have noticed cleaning it afterwards . It's got about a one inch split down the slide from the back where the hammer hits forward ! The slide is basically wrecked, it will pull away from where it slides on , can't see any way to fix it . Is it possible to order just a new slide for gsg ?? Really sucks ! It's my one gun I always take to play with , have loved playing with this thing !

How many rounds do you have thru it? These slides are not steel and they wont last forever, so probably a good idea to replace the recoil spring every 5-10K.

hopefully you can get it fixed under warranty or buy the top end as they sell 'conversion kits'

How old was the pistol and how many rounds through it.? I'd give Blue Line Solutions a phone call explaining the problem and send some pics. Ask them if there is anything that they can do for you.

After a couple hundred rounds I noticed accelerated wear on the slide stop notch of my Sig 1911-22 (and I don't drop the slide using the slide stop lever). Read a few reports of cracked slides on these pot metal HG's and questionable safety.
Sold it the next day and went back to a Ruger MKIII…...

Blueline replaced my slide because the slide catch notch was peening.

Does anyone know if they changed the composition of the alloy to make it stronger in the replacements?
