Galco Leather Holsters for IPSC?

Anybody used a Galco holster? Combat master? non paddle type, for IPSC? My Kydex does the job, but I thought I might get something abit nicer, will the leather result in less gun wear than a Uncle Mikes Kydex or more?

weather will wear f you don't look after it, like all leather. however, after three years my galco is still in fine form and I'm the first to admit that I generally ignore it until I need to use it
 
I used the Combat Master for 8 years with no problems. Retention is fine. Only downside in all that time was the first few draws had a fuzzy sight picture, from the leather I'd just scraped off the holster still attached to the front sight.
 
i use the galco AV224 for ipsc with my glock17,switched from the fobus gl2,best move i ever did,faster draw,weapon rention is good,not too tight,not too loose-just right:D i find the holster better then the safariland for the glock

If this is the route you guys want to take, may I recommend the Blade Tech Dropped and Offset holster for competition? It is fast, comfortable, and light, and above all, cheap.
