Galil owners?

Marstar sells the dust cover mount. Its in their scope mount section, I can't do hot links. It won't be 100% steady as the dust cover is thin stamped steel. I think a good idea would be to take a Galil dust cover, remove the rear sight and rivet on a picatinney rail. Since there is that hump for the rear sight assembly there will be plenty of clearance underneath for the bolt carrier and should be a decent style of mount. Only problem is where to find a galil dust cover? And further more, where to get one for a decent price? Certainly do not want to be cutting up a 150 dollar rear sight/dust cover...

Do we know if the dust covers from the different Valmets and Galils are compatable/exchangable with each other - model to model?

I bought some here in the USA ,about 6 months ago that fit the Galil from a gentleman at a gunshow for a cheap price I sold them for $30 US ea . It was a good money maker for me and if I see him again I will purchase some more .Yes, Galil top covers are around ,but they are stripped of the rear sites ,but the ears are there . I was considering trying to modify one to fit a AK but I hated to butcher up a $30 part .
If I get any more I will offer them forsale ,as long as it is legal .
