Galil stock: User opinions?

Hi there,

I love the look and feel of my Galil folding stock but do any of you who have this installed think it's a bit high for use with the irons? I feel like I have to really squish my face down and back on the stock to get a decent sight picture. And no I don't have unusually large cheekbones, haha! I know with my buddy's red dot on I don't have any issues at all cuz obviously it sits higher.

Also, I'm starting to find the LOP a tad long too. Can anyone suggest a stock that's slightly shorter? FYI, I did have the original folding stock on before which was a comfortable LOP but have since sold it.

I don't know if I wanna go the AR stock setup...I know there would be lots of options though but I would need an adaptor like this correct?

I realy like the stock, but I find it hard to use the opens because of my overly long neck, if I add a inch and a half to it I think it would be perfect, to bad no one sells them any more. I'm hoping for someone to make a good folder for the AR stock, but for now I think I'll be going for th SW one as well.
 
Does not Stormwerkz sell adapters for this type of stock with adjustable height? I just ordered one for my ACE stock.

What kind of ACE stock do you have? Some real nice ones on their website!

Sean's been awesome to deal with in the past and his adapter looks fantastic!

Looks like I may have a Galil stock on the EE soon.
 
Sean is great to deal with, I dont think he has a bead blaster though, and I want a one peice design. I have had all of them ACE, StormWorks and a nother come loose, so I cant see Seans being any diffrent. Seans is a great design as far as a one mount to do everything, and is well thought out except for not finishing the milling around the sling mount ( may be his programer and he has since finished it ) and final finishing ( if his prototype is the same as his finished product). I think we will see great things from Sean in the comming months though.

I bought AKFX from Fabsports and Multipoint stock adapter SA-VZ58-03 from StormWerkz. I assume we are talking about CZ here, right? I did not buy folding mechanism, because I do not need it at this point. The adapter has not arrived yet, so I cannot comment on how everything is going to fit together, but they have pictures of it on StormWerkz site. Oh, apparently I bought the last AKFX they had in stock now. But he said that they get them from time to time.
 
I was looking at the stormwerks adaptors. The only issue I am worried about is that you stack various adapters on top of each other to make use of a different stock.

This all adds to the LOP and total length. I hope a new design (coming soon) might fix this.

2 or 3 Adapters depending on if you want folding or not...

Seems fine to me. But I do not need a folder.

Even with a folder it still looks OK to me

That's the exact stock I have. Mine has the detachable cheek rest just like that although the cheek rest is useless with regular irons as it puts your head way too high. I already think it's a bit high without! Shame cuz it looks sweeeeet with the the cheek rest on.

Yeah I agree..I would want one adapter, one solution...no added LOP for me!
