Correct... I figured I might go with a bit of overkill in case of fumbling. Might go 2x6 birdshot and 1x4 slugs (or skip that and just run the slugs off the saddle).. Another rookie question--- Shellholders go in front, then the rifle mags and finally the pistol mags? Just trying to sound out an optimal setup as a starting point before I figure out what works for me.

Totally up to you on how you configure your belt but like you suggest, I run my shell holders nearest the front, then rifle mags, followed by pistol mags. I like to tweak my belt configuration depending on the stage...it's easy to add or remove shotshell holders, mag holders, etc. so once I hear the stage briefing I add or subtract as necessary.
Some shooters carry enough ammo to run all 4 stages off a single belt/vest loadout. Others will just stuff their coat pockets with ammo and giver hell. It's all good!
