I've never used one until last hunting season, really enjoyed viewing the great pics of some nice deer. Liked it so much I bought 5 Brownings, they've all worked well so far.

does anyone here own the new type of game camera with the cellular option? i have been thinking about getting one, but is it worth the price and does it work well?

Mine has paid for itself in fuel savings alone about three times since last year's spring bear season. With the camera sending pics in real time, you can monitor game activity and bait levels from hundreds of km away and plan your hunt accordingly.

I'm using a uway mb600 which was $500 plus $10/month for the sim card. Between bear seasons it lives at my local deer hunting location so it's providing real scouting value 12 months of the year.

I just ordered this from a company in the US. It was the number one rated game cam (according to Consumer Reviews) in 2015 with many features that more expensive game cams have, so the literature says. I got it from Back 40 Trading Co. from their website. It was $159 US shipped. It was still a lot less than what I could find for the same game cam in Canada.
At that price a person could pick up a couple I would think.

Check with Telus about their $10 pay and talk plan. It includes unlimited text and picture messages. Could make room in your budget for another mb600
