Hunting moose in the winter, I pack an old plastic toboggan. Canadian tire brand I believe haha. I've also seen hunters use old truck box liners. Anything to keep the game from hooking up in the deep snow.
Not a cart. I have used a Dead Sled a couple times. I like the idea of getting far enough from the truck to need something, but around here it's usually not difficult to bring the truck to the dead animal.
There is a manufacturer here in BC. Advertised in the hunting regs book. It is online. Called the Packcart. I have one. Great piece of kit. There are some threads on the Huntingbc forum about the Packcart. They cost around $200 when I bought mine in 2012.
Capable of extracting deer in 1 piece. Done it twice. Others have managed a quarter of moose withe ease. Have taken it into logging blocks to get deer.
Good design. Great ground clearance. Simple. Robust.
Only time I have trouble is crossing steep side hills when cart is loaded.
