Tomorrow is an exciting day at the Nine Lives Arsenal. The first TBM-1 comes off the line.

The TBM1 is a Garand/BM-59 hybrid. The rifle features an M1 receiver that is fed by an enbloc clip.

The rifle features a .308 caliber BM-59 barrel, gas cylinder and flame hidener. It also features a BM-59 bipod and a Schuster gas plug. And of course it also features a BM-59 op rod.

The letters, "TBM" do not stand for "Trudeau Blow Me" TBM stands for "Terni Beretta-modified M1"

The TBM1 will be a beautiful rifle with a certain Italian flair. In a week or so, I will post a link to our you tube channel where you will be able to see the test firing.

Here is a link to my youtube channel where you can see my .270 Garand.

Cool, here is mine, built with a Breda M1 receiver and using a Norinco M14s barrel and gas system, in a modified USGI FG M14 stock.

The op rod is M1, other than the tube that slides through the guide under the barrel. That diameter and length is M14. I tig welded the tube to the remaining part of the garand op rod. The op rod is very beefy at that connection, and the joint is pretty much only under compression. Also, had to modify the spring guide. It's also hybrid, garand at the rear, norinco at the front.

Are you planning to put yours into production and sale? I just made mine for my own personal use. Wanted to make use of Norinco M14 parts.

Can’t wait to see this. I’ve been wanting to do this myself for years. I’ve managed to find most of the parts (BM 59 op rod, drop down cylinder, bipod). Just need a muzzle device and barrel.
