The Wolff springs are overstrength and are not recommended as they can cause functionality problems. Brownell sells a MILSPEC op rod spring made by Fulton Armory for $6.99.
Op rod springs which are short, kinked, or worn out of round should be replaced. The spring should be given a light coating of grease when installed.
