Garand prices. Stable, Rising, or Dropping?

Just because a sponsor has them at a ridiculous price doesn’t mean that’s what they are worth. One sponsor has a M38 Carcano at 1200$+taxes and shipping, doesn’t mean a M38 Carcano is worth 1400-1500$

receivers are very hard to get in the us they did not get those Italian receivers we did (or not many)

importing US military firearms back into the us is a PITA and is severely restricted the importer must prove the rifles were NOT lend lease among other things sometimes impossible to do due to sloppy or lack of records
 
The SA surplus barrels out of Greece dried up fast, those complete NOS bolts too. Finding a good Op Rod is becoming a task, more $$ ($189 to $300). Found some NOS gas cylinders (unconfirmed NOS) $95 CDN, but those parts are out of Italy. M1 Garand Gas Cylinder Lock NOSin the grease out of Netherlands @ $30 ea. Offshore sellers are very aware of the demand here and in the US. But if you want NOS parts = time and $$

Higher prices for rifles that have a sweet looking stock that matches colour, Proper fit, and function, main components to be the same manufacture (Receiver, bolt, Op Rod, maybe barrel). Not many builders repark the rifles, having the rifle reparked is really the last step and adds so much.

I think a Garand or Svt40 might be the last guns you would want to use in a criminal offense.
 
With any ad, all you are seeing is the asking price. You can ask what ever you want for an item, but you won't necessarily get that much. Does it hurt your chances of selling an item if you inflate the asking price, possibly.

Sort of like the people who list non-matching Lee Enfields for sale with an asking price on par with or above the "going rate" for matching rifles. Skip over those ads, and move on.

These vendors offer credit card sales which motivates some buyers. Gun show and EE sellers sell by cash which makes them less appealing to many buyers.

When I offer a rifle for sale on EE ,I offer also 6 mounths payments plan also. Better than credit card interest.
