Hi everyone,

I have two each of Winchester and Springfield Garands and I am going to sell one of each of them to increase the space in my safes.

All were purchased a few years ago from Lever Arms and I have not done anything but clean them well and put them away.

The Springfields look to have brand spanking new barrels while the Winchesters seem to be original. I believe these were all part of a Danish Contract?

What would the going price for these rifles be?

Thanks in advance, Bob

Pricing

There are several on the EE right now, with pictures. See how yours compare to what's already posted and make a price accordingly.

If you're selling to me, no more than $300 if they look really good.:D

For everyone else, between $750-$1000 depending on overall condition. From your description, probably at the higher end of that range. Pics would be helpful.

Agreed. I have seen them go for ~$800 at a gunshow and roughly the same price here. The better the condition, the higher a price it commands.

OK, thanks for the advice so far...

Here are the particulars of the Winchester that I have decided to part with...

Winchester Receiver
Winchester bolt
Springfield trigger group
Springfield op rod
Springfield barrel

I will try to insert and image below of everything...

I must admit the posting of pictures on these sites has me baffled, why oh why can't they make things simple for us simpletons?

Thanks for the feedback on this Pblatzz, much appreciated.

Any others with opinions on this they want to make public?

Thanks for the vairous PM's as well, it is giving me a good idea of what to expect.

Cheers, Bob

Those Garands that Lever Arms sold about 10 years ago were a great deal. I bought 2 of them complete with bayonets, for $150.00 each!!...a 1944 Springfield and the other a 1944 Winchester. I sold the Winchester 2 years ago for $700.00 w/o the bayonet, because it had been rebarreled in 1951. The Springfield I have kept because it still has a 1944 barrel in very nice condition and the stock is also in better condition, with Ordanance stamps and no "rack number" stamped into the butt like the Winchester had.

Sure wish I could roll back the clock!!!
