I was at an M14 Doc clinic last weekend and when I took my rear sight apart we noticed that Norinco steel in the elevation bolt is not so great. It was basically stripped on a rifle that has never been fired, and barely monkeyed with. This renders it useless.

Does this look like a good replacement:

I can't seem to find anything else sub $100 from the states or elsewhere. Any advice on where to find such a thing in meters? The Brownells one is in yards.

You should swap out the entire Norinco rear sight assembly for properly hardened USGI or Italian made Garand components. Check ebay for these as they turn up regularly.

I can't attest to the Brownell's offerings or other current reproductions, but you can't go wrong with the surplus military sights.

The Brownell's comes from Fulton Armory. They don't have the U.S. exporter's licence as I recall. I know Fulton doesn't export directly.
Try Western Gun Parts.

I checked Ebay and there was nothing good under $250 bucks. Seems a bit rich, but maybe that's what they cost. Also, the seller would not ship to Canada. Isn't there a $100 or $200 maximum on orders to Canada?

Thank dogzilla, I will try him.

What ebay sight are you looking on? E bay or E bay.ca ? Go to E bay and when you find one, email the owner and see if he'll ship USPS to Canada

I have a post war M1 Garand sight block only, no knobs or aperature. It hangs on my key chain. I didn't use it on my M14 because the knob threading was somehow different. I will drop it in a small padded envelope to the first in-need taker for free.

On ebay.com I did not find any Canada-friendly M1/M14 sights.

The gentleman from Italy (Andy) is currently out of stock.

I need the whole assembly The Kurgan, thanks for the offer.
