Garand scout mount

When check out the description out they have on their site you get a list of what they don’t fit. Regular military Garand are a go. From what I could find from searching was that the op rod and barrel contour was a problem on 308’s and tankers. I have been holding off ordering one due to mail strike and now tariff stuff. Probably just going to order one before tariff go on.

Some garands came factory/original in .308, naval issue. Cool fact unless I’m mistaken by the US naval force history. Not all were 30-06 from the get go.

We just see these conversions more than the originals as the originals are unicorns.

The ones that US Navy used, were rechambered and not from the factory as 308.

I seen someone claiming their 308 M1 garand was from 1943. Funny as the round was non existing and not in service.

Yeah if i read the correct information it was the early 50's when the navy decided to rebarrel them into .308
