Ok..........

So I missed out on the great cgnmilsurp shoot. Been either too busy or to sick this past month not to mention the weather has not been condusive.

Anyway..........Last week I ordered a dozen enblock clips that should arrive shortly or my Garand and got to thinking.

How about a milsurp postal match were we also dictate the firearm.

Say oh.......I don't know GARANDS maybe?

We could extend it to others as well. Enfield? Mauser??

Regardless I hope to be taking my M1 out shooting shortly. I noted that I spend so much time organizing shoots and doing political crap that I rarely actually go shooting.

I know it's a bit of a haul for you, but there is a milsurp match in Smiths Falls in June. http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=63594
Probably have one at the EOHC before then but that's even further.
A garand postal match would be a good prep for these matchs either way....:)
(You should have just asked for some enblocs on here.........I'm sure you would have had a dozen in 2 minutes from posting)

Hmmm never thought of asking here. I have only seen them come up once.

I do remember a few years ago someone getting 1000 of them on ebay.

I doubt I will get to smith falls but I do plan on making it to the next EESA BLAST OFF event!

I just want to try out my M1 as I have not shot it in over a year and even then it was ony 20 shots. It gets shot full time at the EESA open Houses. It just seems wrong that perfect strangers have shot my M1 more that I have!

Let me know what a postal match is and my Garand and I will gladly participate. ( is it when you shoot and mail in a target?) The only other postal I know is not good.......

cheers , Darryl
1943 Springfield M1 uncut rod, original barrel matching stock and all SA drawing numbers on parts. That's what I have just have to start shooting it.

A Postal match, is when someone takes the time to draw up some stages, and posts them around with complete intructions on what types of targets will be shot, and how many times and at what distances, and any starting scenarios if any. Then any club can set up the identical match and post the competitors scores some where for all to see, and one ellected person would calculate ALL the scores to find a national winner.

going postal

I thought a Postal Match was where you sent in your entry, they send you a target, you shoot the target as per course of fire that is directed, you mail target back, they let everyone know who won.
