We can't all experience everything ourselves so check this out. Its not quite the equal of being there yourself though.

barrel obstruction !!!! she got a bullet jam in the barrel !! if you look the round before the catastrophic failure didn't ignite completely and she got to put a new one in !!
RIP M1 Garand!

Yup. Had a squib :(

Was watching wondering which one would be broken, and soon as the one started playing with manually cycling the bolt, I knew who was in trouble :(

Once again, a great lesson on why you always check your barrel after every "problem" in cycling a round.

Hope their hands are OK ... looked like a lot of bits and pieces flying around.

This post makes me........

That is some disintegration there...I hope that she was OK.

I was present at a fatal blow-up in Germany back in the early eighties. A 1917 Model Colt revolver had been inadvertently loaded with 18gr of 2200 in each cartridge after the reloader forgot to change the charging bar and powder on his powder measure.

A close bystander collected part of the cylinder through the carotid artery and another fragment through the eye and into the brain - either would/could have killed him.

I saw this on another forum, Apparently the lady that had it explode in her hand commented on it, something along the lines of that particular rifle jamming on the 7th round or something along those lines, so she didn't think anything of just fixing the stoppage, long story short it ended up being an out of battery fire. She claimed to be alright besides her hand and arm being very bruised. Then again its the internet so what I read could be wrong too.

The video shows her taking out the 7th cartridge which didn't fire properly, then it blew on the 8th. I think it didn't go fully into the chamber

I think the 7th round went in and there was no powder.
The primer is strong enough to send the bullet into the rifling
She racked it and pulled the trigger on the 8th round.
