Garand stocks ?

I have A pile of M1-Garand stocks and what I am wondering is how can I tell the differance in the manufacture of the stocks ? they all have markings on them of " P " on the pistol grip but is there A way of telling who made them by the way they are milled out or the dimensions? If anyone has A link to A web site maybe or A reference manual or book that maybe I should get ? Cheers Andrew

I am assuming you are still looking for IH sets. If any of the ones you have are IH you will see a notch looking down from the top of the stock once you remove the receiver.
