The Korean Garands do not belong to the U.S., if they did C.M.P. would import them. They are owned by Korea and they are trying to sell them.
Mr. "O" just took a huge market off the world table. It will be interesting to see what will happen in the future.Wasn't there a thread about these from many years ago where we were told to "SSSSSHHHHHHhhhhhhhh!"
Translation: A low profile was the best way to get them here!
No Korean Garand import to Canada. Turn them all into Hyundai parts. I want to see my Garand hit $5k next year.
But then the Hyundai car will "PING" going down the road!![]()

Ok, now I am not going to be able to think about work for the rest of the day.
Maybe you need to take a mental health wellness day off??
If the Korean Garands are marked U.S. PROPERTY they are already illegal for import into the U.S. unless there is a loophole around an already existing law. I owned a '44 Remington Rand a few years ago, figured I could sell it stateside for a good profit. NO WAY!!! I was told that firearms marked U.S. property could not legally be imported to the U.S. This is Obama's latest effort to look like he is doing something on the gun control front when he could not pass it through Congress, he calls it an executive order and sneaks it through the back door. Very undemocratic but that is nothing new. There isn't a gun problem in the U.S., they have a violence problem. And it's roots are drugs, socialism and the collapse of the traditional family. My 2 cents.

Very interesting, though I'm assuming it was a typo that they listed the M1 Garand as .308... I don't think they would have a line on that many surplus Navy Contract... Anyone else have other info?
Damn, guess I need to start saving...
I'm pretty sure that by the korean war, the 7.62x51 cartridge was already NATO standard so they had converted the garands. From 30-06 to .308 is an easy conversion, basically just a chamber sleeve so the shorter cartridge fits properly (unless they manufactured new barrels)
