I'm a bit confused to say the least. We have all waited for the Garands to come in and in a quanity that would give you a good choice and price. The only "few" that I have seen advertized are from P&S ranging from 599 to 700 or so, Ellwood Epps about the same price/quanity and those mentioning Milarm only having a few left over for sale after they fill their backlog. Where is the quanity? I thought that the demand was there to bring in more than I see advertized. Is it that whoever brought them in is holding back and controlling the market to keep the price up or is it that there were very few imported to be sold in this country or that the possibility of banning semis in on any importers mind? Can anyone shed some light on the subject?

Supply and demand. They aren't making them anymore and guys are desperate to get them, so whenever rifles come up for sale someone buys them. And I sincerely doubt the importer has squirreled away a few 40' shipping containers of USGI rifles.
