Recently one of the chalets at Bisley was being cleared out. It had belonged to a Marine Lt.-Col and some stuff was placed out front for people to take if they wanted (novels, manual typewriter, 1980s computer, old-fashioned electric heater, etc.) Most stuff was going straight in the dumpster. The sons lived in California and had come over to get rid of everything and clear the place out, could hardly take anything back even if they wanted to. I picked up a webbing rifle case like that above, also a big rusty tin trunk, one of three he'd shipped his stuff around the world in. Cleaned it up and repainted it, now it's good for another seventy years. Picked up this photo which was just lying on the grass
