Unless you’re going to your public library to use the computer, you can be tracked . It’s why they makes those giant rolls of tinfoil dude!!Well ye are actually to all the marketers of products that ye don't need..but want.
Not sure about anyone else, but I don't use an iPhone or iPad with mine. I doubt if anybody is tracking me.I'll stick with my Chrony unit as I don't carry any devices with me that can be tracked. No fookin' cell phones or I-pad garbage fer me.
You can't control it from the app (like you can with the Labradar) so no point using it with a phone on the range. Not sure about anyone else, but I don't use an iPhone or iPad with mine. I doubt if anybody is tracking me.![]()
I seen one of these being used the other day. So damn convenient, but just another purchase lolI know this has been beat to death. But if you can swing one buy it. What a game changer. You can literally take it or use it anywhere and you will. So easy to pack and set up. Reads every time. No worry about lighting or POI shifts. It’s a no brainer.

Just to be clear, the Garmin does not require the use of any other electronic devices.I'll stick with my Chrony unit as I don't carry any devices with me that can be tracked. No fookin' cell phones or I-pad garbage fer me.
Yes, one can just get velocities on the Garmin but it does have built in wifi hardware to allow connecting to other devices which can be trackedJust to be clear, the Garmin does not require the use of any other electronic devices.
You can simply take the velocities from the device directly.

Sure, the Garmin has the features that make it handy for folks that don't want to go with a Crony & tripod setup but I've used mine
for many years without worries. I don't need to spend $800.00 on a widget that I don't use often enough to justify the cost.
Oh really? It's bluetooth, with a range of about 30 feet.
lol OK - they are trying to sell you something.
Yeah…I agree. Sooo much essential information on a chrony that really would affect your life if stolen.
It only has Bluetooth so if someone is tracking you then look over your shoulder because they are very close.Yes, one can just get velocities on the Garmin but it does have built in wifi hardware to allow connecting to other devices which can be tracked
