They claim 6 hours or 2000 shots, I’ve never gone that long in one session but I can get 4-5 times at the range before having to recharge.

No I bring them in huge plastic padded pelican cases in case it falls out of the box and a truck drives over it. When your as careless as me, you can never be too careful.

Ran mine down to about 60% once in a few hours, 200 shots +/- @ -18C

Since the Garmin is so small, there are a lot of choices for cases. Below is another one from Amazon, similar to the one shown by another poster, for just under $16 delivered. While not as solid as a hard case, this is very lightweight, a benefit for anyone carrying a lot of equipment.
