CaseyK:

EMT was perfectly done and you are Good to go. Ensure you P M ChalkRiver2 and let him know you need a letter of invite so that you can send it to Orillia CFO for a Short term ATT

Cheers and Thanks!!

Barney

We have a few spaces left since we are quickly approaching my carrying capacity of 48 shooters. 6 target lanes and 8 relays and many of you know I can cycle your relays very rapidly. This ain’t my first rodeo!!

Hahahahaha

Cheers, Barney

Canada Tail:

Got your EMT payment. You are Good to go for this CQB clinic. Now remember to send a PM message to ChalkRiver2 right here on CGNutz and ask for your emailed letter of invite to transport (short term. ATT) your restricted shooters to Garrison Petawawa.

We are getting closer!

Cheers, Barney

Out of province ATT may require a couple of weeks for processing. If you need one and haven't applied yet, do it now.

Question: is anyone flying in? How do you get around the 5 kg ammo limit?

Kolo:

I received your EMT. Thanks very much for that. I’m hoping all shooter by now have their Short Term ATT , if you are not certain, send a private message to ChalkRiver2 asking for a letter of invite to be emailed to the CFO ORILLIA

Remember that civilian range or club issued ATT are NFG (no good) for military ranges

Cheers, Barney

Back from a PR clinic and Match this weekend up in Garrison Petawawa

Main Hwy 17 that I travelled on is fine to and from Base through to Algonquin Park by Round Lake. Maybe some high water by two small bridges in the low ground beneath the Alice Ski Hill on Hwy 58.

Huntsville and Bracebridge are flooded but that’s in the downtown areas by the central business districts...

Stayed tuned right here for any updates. At least Echo Range is mostly melted off. That’s a great thing.

Feel free to pack along folding chairs and tables. Event tent is really nice to bring along. Not a long walk from parking lot to Range staging area, maybe 100 steps or so. Folding wagon or cart is always nice to have.

Porta Potties should be in place for the coming weekend

Cheers, Barney

I just hope that "mostly melted off" doesn't mean, is now Lake Echo? LOL
I don't think I can fit both my SCUBA gear AND my AR, pistol and ammo, etc. in the car all at once.

But seriously, thanks for the weather / highway update, and please keep us advised if anything worsens up there.
Like if we might get recruited for sandbagging. :d
Cheers.

WEATHER UPDATE .......The ranges and route out to them are nice and dry . However the bridge in the town of Petawawa just outside of base is closed due to the flooding . To get onto base take HWY 17 to Paquette road and come down it then turn left at the traffic lights to get onto base.

ChalkRiver2:

Thanks for that update about the bridge being closed. Hopefully things will improve b6 the weekend and we won’t have to take the “long” way around Paquette Rd to Hwy 17 to Murphy Road and then to Danny’s Steak House!

Appreciate that heads up! Now to cross my fingers for that weekend.

This detour is a slight annoyance but at least it ain’t stage 4 cancer! Hahahahaha Gotta be grateful for all the little things!

Cheers, Barney

Paquette road is the one to use to get onto base as Murphy road is still on the wrong side of the blocked bridge in Petawawa.

Quality Inn Petawawa is about $160 or so I believe and beside a Kelsey,s restaurant.

I heard the bridge in Petawawa may be open by Friday .
