Garrison Petawawa CQB Clinic 22/23 April 2017 - Debrief here!

No bayonets in DCRA course of fire that I am aware of. But bring it anyway, you might need it to clear a jammed bolt or something.

I'll be booking a campsite once Blackbear is open for the season, I think in April.

Anyone interested in camping let me know if you want some info, i have a camp map and can recommend the good sites.

Any room left?

Hungry here (or Tactical Teacher) : Lots and lots of room... EMT away.....

Gotta ask seen many of your forms here about your clinics .... so my question is what kind of scpoes would you recommend....223....308 for these classes........ I remember in the past it was you or someone else that said hunting scopes are not recommended.....what kind would you recommend make... brand ...model..... and that would double as a hunting rifle scope
My personal choices are leupold..... Zeiss and Schmidt & bender
Please don't mention bushnell ....or any of those garbage low end scopes ...
Thank you for your opinion and help

Shop for a scope within your budget/ game / cool factor/comfort level/brand loyalty....

I personally love Leupold Mark4 scopes, I can deploy with them against the zombie hordes if I have to. That said many brands like NightForce, Sightron, Bushnell 6500 plus series, US Optics, Schmidt/Bender make competitive and tough/durable / tactile - turrets / deployable scopes.

Just avoid turrets that need tools to operate. Use hand ajustable and recordable setting scopes built for this purpose. They are repeatable and easy to adjust quickly in the middle of a match.

That said, my sponsored scope on my AI Ax .308 is a S&B PM2 with a Horus Reticle. :nest: On my personally owned rifles, I have Leupolds... I'm a Korth #####ex...

There, does that help?

Cheers,

I am interested in attending.
My gear is mostly occupational LEO duty/3Gun/IDPA/IPSC oriented so by chance would a 3 mag chest rig (4 mags total unless I can source additional AR10 mags quick) work?
Also could the pistol/mags be belt carried?

Thanks for any help.

Yes the chest rig and the belt for your pistol mags will work fine.
Just make sure that you can load a fully loaded 5 round AR mag with the bolt forward .

Just got approval for the range request so we are good to go .
Shoot faster....learn quicker ...weapons on safe and foot on the string !
