It’s a very loooong story! Hahahahaha

Unless.....the BBRGC invites me and books Mons Range for me hahahahahaha. But that’s when heck freezes over! That’s the difference with having me at Garrison Petawawa GC... things happen wayyyyy easier / faster / seamlessly/ quickly over there. I’ve got my next years’ dates out by the previous Christmas. Have a look at my post(s) and dates!

Besides, for two days of structured instruction and practice, you will be hard pressed to find ANYTHING is this price point ANYWHERE! Hahahahaha I am the laughing stock of this firearms training community! Stale jokes, I guess....I need new writers, my wife says!

Everyone from Southern Ontario loves the two day getaway experience when they come to our show in Garrison Petawawa....great drive, super food, excellent community, priceless chirping on Saturday night at Danny’s Steak House....trust me you won’t be the first PR shooter from Southern Ontario reluctant to punch outta yer comfort zone and shoot with us on Bravo Range!

Besides, one needs to shop at stores like : Millbrook, Full Spectrum Gear, Valley Guns, and Perkins Gas Station for guns and ammo!

Hahahahaha

Just got a brain flash... consider taking a PR1 Course with my mentors over at www dot Milcun dot com just north of you up in the Minden Kinmoint Area. They run a FIVE day course and you will be taught by some of the best in the industry. Lots closer to you than Garrison Petawawa.

Cheers, Barney

Thanks for the reply.
Yes I am well aware of the complications of getting anything passed or approved at Borden with range control....lol.
I am also familiar with the Milcun training facility and have friends who have been involved with them and speak highly of them. I have a classic old C3 military sniper riffle with a Khales 10X scope. Not entirely sure I want to get into competitive shooting with this old girl , but would like to take the course.
and yes its an original Parker Hale with the Canadian military furniture ,bipod ,hand stop....ect
Guess I need to make a decision and bite the bullet....no pun intended....lol

They are a great conversation starter. I use mine every day at work and get lots of questions. And weird looks...

My sniper matches have the funniest prizes....honestly, if you are competing JUST for the prizes, then you are never gonna have fun! I like to boast that I bust open the most hilarious prizes....and you always get a laugh or giggle or a smile out of them many years later! Hahahahaha

Hey CL, I got the Emt sitting inside my inbox. Thanks for that. I’m away from my iPad this day but will be back in cruise ship Skagway harbour tonight. Yahoooo. Wait until they see the Vaseline prizes!!
Hahahahaha

Been gone for a few days sailing up the Alaskan coastline since Sunday 26 May. Have not had a signal and hence been off the grid. I’m docked in Skagway AK this morning and trained up the narrow gauge railway to White Pass AK. And then boarded a bus in Fraser BC to ride into Carcross, YK. All that border crossing before lunch today.

Be in Anchorage and Fairbanks for the next couple of days and then back in YK Dawson and Whitehorse.

Now to find a gun shop in Whitehorse and pay a social visit by the TacticalTeacher hahahahaha

Cheers, Barney

I’m home safely and back from the Alaska and Yukon adventure. All great learning and sight seeing along the way. I tried looking for and visiting gun shops up there, but the best one by far is that Haugens Store in Whitehorse YK. I even sourced a couple of CZ455 10 rounder STEEL magazines there for $65 each. I was so pleased to even find ANY 455/453/452 steel magazines anywhere up north! And they had lots of them in stock! Hahahahaha

Yup, I got room for ya! EMT away!

Only a week and a bit away from this match.

Hey ChalkRiver2....I will be having PatR bring up some innovative steel targets for you / us/ newbies to shoot at for the Saturday practice session! I’m not telling you anymore about how innovative they are. All I can say is that we are gonna have fun

Cheers, Barney
