Garrison Petawawa PR5 Match - 21-22 Oct 2017 - Debrief here!

I have to eat salad so I can still remain undetected right winger gun freak in the Lululemon crowd at my Yoga studio... I also have to hang around that Arxteryx crowd at the Private Ski Club. And I don’t mean the Garrison Petawawa Arcteryx Crowd, hint, hint, wink, wink....

Hey we just left Millbrook Tactical and the Arcteryx Multicam rain jackets are on sale for $500 but you gotta be a Medium or Large size

Quesada Burrito in 1.5 hours...

Home right now relaxing. 5.5 hour drive and all is safe. Hope everyone had a safe drive back to your loved ones. I have no voice left and I have been tolerating this headache for the entire drive. You see Morgan and I were laughing so hard we have headaches. What other sniper match in Canada has KY Jelly on the prize table. Not even the Meaford Long Range Steel Challenge has personal lubricant sponsors. Well I don’t YET, but I’m working on that level of sponsorship for next season.

More on this later on. My wife is not impressed with me pursuing a KY Jelly shooting jersey... bad idea, she does not miss me much anymore this weekend hahahaha

In the door at 10:30 PM, the drive was easy, I let my son take it from Bancroft to Burlington. So many people to thank, Barney, Morgan, Heather, Nate and Scott. We had a blast and as always learned a lot about our guns and ourselves.

Managed to get a few pictures at the match. Where's Ganderite when you need him?

I am struggling right now with this ipad... cutting and pasting is sure hard without a mouse or pointing pad....Please bear with me.... I just lost a pile of scores with just one finger stroke and trying to restore the original.

Sure miss my Macbook Pro and HP laptop.... :(

Okay iPad experts, I need your help. I’m using Numbers a spreadsheet app on the iPad. I need to cut and past some columns and rows of the spreadsheet to a paint or drawing app. Then save that image as a jpeg so that I can have my Imgbb account host said jpeg for all of you to see.

I sure miss using my HP laptop......

I don't have a current iPad, but have you tried this: https://support.apple.com/kb/PH23895?locale=en_US&viewlocale=en_US

I just placed the raw / hand written / paper edition UP on the 2nd post of this thread.... It's got my eyeballed versions and it will get you some basic results until I have the Ipad spreadsheet results looking great. I need to upgrade my methods so this is all part of the learning curve. I do like the data/scores entry from the scorecards to the ipad so it's happening slowly.

I think this was the first shoot at Petawawa I didn't need my rain gear. Some folks have made the observation I bring snow, rain or tornadoes with me:p. Maybe it was because I brought the kids with me this time.
Diamond duck shot in the middle of the pack. It was her first PR experience and a very big thank you to Tactical Teacher for letting her use the AI. She could not blame equipment. Except maybe her old mans handloads:d.
I shot in the second group and used TT's tripod. That is a learning experience I am great full for. At lunch I found out that the cool kids in the first group shooting were belly shooting and not tripoding it. They wondered why my scores were so low:redface:. After lunch I gave up with the tripod after trying to do a dirt shot at 500m. After that I was back to my usual scores.
I gotta get my own rig and set it up for me and practice just getting into position with it in the back yard. You can belly shoot high scores all day but a smooth sea never made a skillful sailor.
Thanks to TT, Chalkriver 2.0, the butts officers and the sentry for giving up her weekend for us.
I was talking to some folks about the place in Finland that carries surplus and has cheap shipping. Varusteleka.com is its name.

Thanks for the scores Barney and all your hard work. Big shout out to everyone who helped make this weekend possible, you all rock. It was one I'll never forget as it was my first time in the world of precision shooting. Just awesome all around

I have to echo everyone's thanks to TT, Chalkriver, the sentry and the great butts officers for not only putting on a safe and fun meet, but putting up with my noobish "What-should-I-be-doing-now?" questions. Ya'll rock!

This was a great introduction into the PR world and I'll definitely be back for more.
