Nobody probably remembers my old favorite Vancouver gun shop "Harkley and Haywood".

I think Wanstalls will make a great substitute.

The only problem with their website is that I sometimes get redirected to other websites when perusing the product screen tabs.
 
+1 I have nothing but good things to stay about Gary and the rest of the in store staff!

I've only been dealing with Wanstalls for a couple months now, but I wish I found out about them a lot sooner. I'm dealing with them almost exclusively now even though they're a little out of my way because their service is second to none. I also love that they're willing in to bring in higher end product that doesn't necessarily move as fast. They're a great bunch of guys (and girl) to deal with!

I think it's worth buying my guns from them the shipping is very low s...t it costs me a hell of alot more to go to EPPS in gas I'll be sticking with Wanstalls
 
Wanstalls has to be one of the best dealers I have ever dealt with. I walked in, told them what I wanted (CZ858 furniture) he grabbed what I asked for and didn't pressure me to purchase anything else I paid and bingo bango. What really pleased me was the fact that the staff actually seemed stoked to help their customers with any issue big for small. 10/10 for Wanstalls!

I work with small business owners teaching a variety of skills including customer service for a living....as a general rule the retail firearms business have some of the lowest standards of any industry I have ever encountered.

Wanstalls, and Gary in particular, is one of the standouts in firearms retail...I wish them nothing but success moving forward. Keep up the great work gentlemen (and lady).
 
To my surprise I received my package today. I just noticed I forgot a mag for the chiappa. Oh well, guess I need to spend more money. I will have to get some sites for it too. I just noticed I have no sites for the upper. I guess the next time I blow some cash I'll grab them. Thanks for mounting the scope and giving me some freebies (Lock) :D Oh and thanks for putting up with my pestering.

I recently purchases my first gun from Gary at Wanstalls. We decided on a gun and shipping prices. Then I told Gary this was my first purchase. Guess that was my mistake for being honest. The next thing you know Gary tells me the price just went up even though their website has the price we agrees on. I told Gary I'm not comfortable paying more than what their website listed price is for that gun. He then tells me that he will honor the original price but my free shipping is now of the table. What honoring? Their website clearly shows the agreed price. Gary then tells me they will be increasing the gun in the future and that is why I should be paying the higher price. Makes no business sense to tell a paying customer you have to pay more because this product will be going up in the future and their website has a lower price. For that reason I will no longer trust Wanstalls. For all the gun newbies, learn from me and don't disclose you are new to this sport. Otherwise predators like this will try and advantage of you

Well I can't continue to keep quiet.
After reading all the douche bags roast both Wolverine and Epps,who BTW are sponsors of our site and have done a great service to shooters for a very long time,I get to read this bit of ####e.Some clown with no trader rating and 2 posts(one of which is his rant on Gary)thinks it OK to to sit behind his computer with the anonymity it provides and call into question the integrity of a business who's lively hood depends on their reputation.
Hitman: just before your mom called you up for dinner(I'm Betting KD with a Ketchup smiley face)did you bother to take this up with Gary, or just slander his name in a public forum.
Gary: maybe you should look into being referred to as a predator.

I was also a "newbie" when I first started dealing with Gary and can't say enough good things about him and Wanstalls. We were always honest with each other and his word is truely gold in my book. I find it really hard to believe that he would raise prices on you when they were still lower on the web site as he has gone way out of his way for me on numerous times.
I would suggest that maybe you might have missunderstood him as he's not in the habbit of nickle and dimeing his clients, as he has always gone way beyond just "good" customer service. Look at his feedback as it speaks for itself.

Thanks Gary for taking the time to PM me. I'm glad we had a chance to resolve our differences. It was not my intention to bad mouth you. I was just expressing my feelings and perspective with my first firearms purchases. You are one class act and I'll gladly do business with Wanstalls again.

Your the clown who thinks your opinion is the only ones that important. Maybe you should grow up and open you mind to other perspectives.

I don't think I've ever experienced a purchasing experience quite like Wanstalls.....:redface:....Gary is super-amazing to deal with :cool: , and that's why the mouse of my office computer openly sits atop an awesome Wanstalls insignia !....:dancingbanana:

Sponsors.... HAHAHA What does that mean.

They don't donate their time or money to keep this site running or give us CGN deals.They pay to advertise.
They are not doing it as a favour to us - the shooters of Canada

They are just companies using this arena as another way to garner business.( which of course is fine)

Hey Hitman,

When we are as passionate about this sport as most of us are, missunderstandings do happen. Didn't want you to miss out on being able to deal with one of the top guys in this industry. Gary's word is gold and you can't go wrong. Glad you worked it out and welcome to the fan club :cheers:
