Gas cylinder spindle valve fell out of my M305

Well, had an interesting failure with my Norc M305 this weekend at the Service Rifle shoot.

During the last event of the day, after a few sighters, my gas cylinder spindle valve fell out of my gun. See pic below:

Once the unit fell out, i had to manually cycle each round after firing. Also, my accurancy was completely lost, which is no surprise.

Anyone else ever have this problem?

It looks like either your roll pin lost tension and fell out of it sheared. If you found the valve and spring, you just need a new roll pin. any hardware store can probably help. If not, you need a new valve assembly. 762mmfirearms sells a nice stainless one and Brownells sells the M1A valve assembly.
