Gas lock front sight

The way I see it:

GLFS: Nice, simple setup and keeps it short. Disadvantage being that fully cleaning the gas assembly would mean re-zeroing might be necessary(even if you make an alignment mark)

Alternative: Sight from superthepeg. Adds 3/4" to overall length("disadvantage") but allows fully cleaning gas assembly.

Alternative 2: Phantom with clamp on sight base. Not height adjustable.

I like the GLFS from Marstar.Make aiming easier for older eyes.Just line up on the two circles and your ready to go. I'm not to worried about it being "off target" after cleaning.Don't think that it's a big issue, haven't noticed a difference when firing at the paper.

I looked at Suprathepeg's front sight. Very interesting and I like the fact that it is adjustable too! Waiting for it to be produced is the worst part...

Regards,

Bits and Pieces has a GLFS that uses your original winged sight if you don't like the round style.85.00. Just seen it on his web site.

got one on a shorty that i made and works great, and i love it for hunting, its a good bush rifle thats different from the usual 30-30 lever everyone else has.
