Gas Masks.

Guys, guys, guys. The only cartridge you need to protect yourself from the virus is a P100 cartridge, or HEPA. You don't need to buy a CBRN cartridge which costs between 80$ to 240$ ea. It's ridiculous.

Most military masks, like our C4 (wink wink), use 40mm NATO threaded cartridges. Some PAPR cartridges which are not sold for military/defense purposes fit the bill. More specifically, one example is the North 40HE cartridge, usually found in packs of 3. They're not advertised as 40mm NATO, but I validated this info with Honeywell Safety and tried it on my mask. Perfect fit.

ummmm the chinese virus is 60micron, not that small. And how small is tear gas particles? About 1micron. These masks should be overkill against the virus provided the canisters and mask are actually still within service life. They are saying N95 dust masks that you can buy from hardware stores can filter out down to 0.01micron.

I would not use any soviet mask or filters as most are expired and are known to contain asbestos.

Good army surplus masks are the polish MP5 gas mask, Israeli M15, Avon fm12 (if you can find any).

The virus is approximately 125nm which is 0.125 Micron in size. It will not be captured by the filter offered with these masks.

HEPA filters WILL capture those particles. Don't let Wikipedia fool you by thinking they can't capture anything under 0.3um.

Then why oh why did trump announce yesterday that 3M says 35million N95 masks will be available to healthcare and frontline yesterday due to regulation changes which affect company liability, gee I wonder.


Maybe you are the one that needs to understand what a facking micron is?

And go home and stay home and educate yourself real good before you open your mouth, with a N95 mask on it.

It should be called the Chinese regime virus because instead of letting the world know, they kept it a secret, lied to the world about it, disappeared their whistle blower doctors, and now watching the world burn. It's as if, they wanted it to happen. Their Yuen is going up steady they are buying up our depleting stocks

Id go so far as to say if Germany had to pay billions in reparations after ww1 and 2, China should have to do similar for intentionally spreading this across the globe. They didnt stop travel well after they were aware of the severity of the situation.

If you buy a gasmask to protect yourself from a virus that can be defeated by washing your hands and not touching your face, i say again, you are retarded. Until i can defeat tear gas with purell my gas mask remains to be used for gas attacks (which i have in fact, experienced, good times). Have a great day.
