Ok I am a little lost here. Surplusrifle.com in there video note to oil the gas piston after you clean it. Yet the russian/chinese manuals I have read tell me to oil it very lightly.

My question is what do you here on the forum do after you clean the gas piston, oil or leave dry?

Well a trip to cambodian tire is in order to pick some up. Unless I can just use some clean grease like the stuff that comes out of a grease gun.

Being cheap I think I will just use some grease gun grease. :)

this is what i do. i live in the wet coast, where it has high humidity, lots of rain and homes today have less air leaks, it locks in the moisture .

im pretty concern with my guns developing rust so i coat it with gun oil and just before i use it, i wipe off most of the oil from the piston and tube.

Update...Only oil the firing pin with light oil such as CLP/breakfree, and only if you clean it after every visit to the range. (you will anyway). And it should still rattle.

I also use CLP in the gas tube, but you can use a light coat of gun grease.
