Had this gun for almost 50 years. It was made around 1928. Barrels are stamped genuine demi-bloc. I have been looking for info on these for some time but keep drawing a blank. It's a great grouse gun with modified choke on one barrel and full on the other.

Any information on this gun will be greatly appreciated. Will upload photos later in the week.

Gaspar Arizaga dates back to the late 1890s and was a going concern until the 1980's when it and 19 other Spanish gunmakers, most of them small makers, joined into a government-subsidized conglomerate (fiasco) called DIARM. Gaspar Arizaga was one of the victims when DIARM collapsed a few years later.

It can be tough finding information on small Spanish gunmakers. There were many of them and they came and went over the years. The Basques are better at making guns than keeping records. Further complicating matters are the similar names. There is more than one Arizaga and a couple of Sarasquetas. If you Google "Gaspar Arizaga" or search it shotgunworld.com you'll find a little more information on them.

This site shows just how many different makers there were and it is by no means all inclusive.

The best advice I've heard on Spanish guns is to buy the gun before you not the name of the maker.
