Has anyone ever bought/built one of the 22lr kits from Cabelas. It uses the actions and barrels from 2-10-22's. It is not considered full auto in the states, not sure bout Canada though?

I saw that gatling in the cabelas catalogue too. I really, really want one. Sucks to be Canadian sometimes...

The 10/22 kits would be prohibited as falling within the OIC description of a trigger enhancer.

An origional Gatling was at one time held to be a manually repeating arm similar to a lever action gun. However, the CFC seem to now feel that in the absence of a seperate trigger, the crank is in effect the trigger. They hold that when you apply one continuous pressure to the trigger, you achieve more than one discharge of the firearm. With there logic, they have made the origional gatling into a full auto. I know I feel safer.

Yes, I got a set of the blueprints years ago with the express idea of building one, as the law at the time exempted them. As a single shot it just wouldn't be as cool. I wonder if I could scale it up to use flares? And what would the legal status be then? "Honest, it's just my emergency flare gun, I swear". - LOL - dan

Gatling Gun

I have a friend that has one nearly completed but it doesn't shoot anything. The barrels are rods drilled in the muzzle to look like barrels.
He got the gears from the US years ago and built most of it, just has to tweak it a bit.
He is a machinist and has all the equipment you need but has been so busy over the years he hasn't looked at it.

About 18 years ago, he built a full size 24 lb Cohorn Mortar that weighs about 275 lbs and was fun to shoot Squash. Due to a back injury I can't move it and it sits in my building for the past 7 years. I just might sell it in the near future. If anyone is interested in it let me know.

You could sure start a hell of a forest fire with such a gun... I made the mistake of firing a flare gun on land once...not a mistake I'll make again(I did get the fire out). There's a reason they say fire over water only...

Flares are a bit costly too...

One time I saw a gun store where they had built a Gatling setup with two 10-22's back to back and a crank setup. Is that what Cabella's have in their catalogue?
