alright, so i grew up hunting deer, stopped about 5 years ago and have now decided that while i dont want to go back to hunting deer, predator hunting sounds very appealing. ive got the rifle set up, but other than that i have no hunting gear what so ever. help me out with what i need?

p.s. if anyone in the calgary area wants to help a new guy to the area out, show the ropes ect i would be much obliged

Get some calls, fox pro? if electronic calls are allowed there. some good camo, and a blind? I find good camo and scent lock. The area we go we have a bunch of natural blinds.

You can not use electric calls in alberta. As for gear, get some good camo, a good call and practice using them, and paitence. Always make sure you can see down wind when you are calling, as most of the time they will come from down wind from you.

Anyone interested in joining me for some dog hunting near edmonton area? I am all geared up, but never done it b4, and would like to have a partner,

For anyone new to coyote hunting, there is a guy by the name of Randy Anderson who has quite a few coyote / varmint hunting DVDs out. His videos show how to call and how to set up, and give a newbie a lot of good ideas on how to hunt coyotes.

a bipod, some hand calls, some good camo, binos, and a cushion to sit on (lots of cacti here in MB where I hunt coyotes, helps keep the catus' from stickin in my butt). The most important thing for coyote hunting.....PATIENCE!!!
