I would advise not shooting the ones that spent some time in the waters at the Brady Road land fill and the local town lagoon! I just couldn't make goose jerky out of any of those ones!

i like it but prefer fall even if i tried some hunts in the spring.

but i imagine it is a very good source of fresh and wild protein.

They need a spring season along Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence Seaway, just to get the lazy buggers to migrate further north than what they can walk.

Should have a Spring season here, for Canadas, as well . Getting to be like gophers, spotted a field full, west of Sundre, talking Rocky foothills here. cleaning up the emerging crop.

some geese bring bullhead eggs to my trout pond. Some folks say they are tasty as hell. I'm gonna try one sooner or later! But really, why eat bullheads when you can have rainbow trout?

So much fun,relaxing and interesting hunt to do.
What most of you guys use for those high flyers?
Recently i got Cynergy 3 1/2" with pattern master chokes.
Huge difference over regular 686 i used before.

X2 here for spring season in Ontario along Great Lakes or any major water...

I just made some goose stew on Saturday! Mmmm I can't wait till this season.
I use a beretta 391 Urika 2 12 gauge. Black cloud has been working great for me.

I had to send my Winchester in for warranty hopefully its back on time, I bought a benelli just in case.....I hate the beneli already

What don't you like about your Benelli? Friends have some nice benellis. I run a Winchester sx2 semi and love it.
