Been on the phone the past week trying to locate Winchester .308 in the bulk bags with some pitiful luck - found some in BC and some more in NB. Most places are out of Federal as well.

Yes, there is a war on in the Middle East (still) and the US has been shutting down and exporting their reloading plants .... but ... is Canadian domestic consumption that great that we empty store shelves within months of a lack supply?? Wow ... we seem to have more reloaders here than we get credit for! So, in short, if you see some bulk bags - grab em! If you don't - PM me !! LOL

As far as reloading brass goes Federal would be the very last on my list. For a few bucks more go for quality brass like Lapua unless you are just looking for plinking brass or plan to shoot it through a semi.

Not really a few months. The supply of .308 cases has been dwindling for a couple years, and our supply has lasted longer than the US, they're crying for them...

Luckily, I have enough for 20 years or so.:)

Are you hurting? I got some virgin Hornady brass in 308. It is stamped with my custom headstamp, but it is Hornady brass made from Winchester blanks.

Have something like 300 to 500 pieces, I guess. You could have it for 30 cents each, plus shipping.

Don't need it any more. Switched to 6.5 FClass...

hahahhahahhaha

.. *sigh*

yes this was me about 8 weeks ago. All I can say is when you find a shop with some in stock, PM ME!!!1

Try Williams Arms in Port Perry, Ontario. I drove up there and he re-sourced some federal .308 win brass and had some in stock.

EDIT - Remington .. he resourced some Remington brass .. god I need to stop posting after drinking.

SIR/Cabelas just got a shipment of Rem brass. I just received 2 bags of .308 today that I ordered in August...

For all the .308 caliber rifles I have seen for sale on this forum , it is no doubt that some brass is "horded" til the demand raises the price. I gather any and all .308 brass from my range, no matter the manufacturer as soon it will be about the only brass around.

This guy's making pens out of it :D

Don't you know? It's illegal !

When I passed thru Ont on the way back from my vacation in the US this fall I tried to get some. The young guy at Bass Pro in Toronto told me:

"it's illegal to sell now because of the war over there" .

I guess that's why we can't get any. You have to love Toronto :puke:
