Geissele URGI

Me personally? No, over priced and over hyped. The only thing special is the mk16 rail which you can't get anywhere but on a URG-I upper, but at the core it's just an upper, with a Daniel Defense 14.5" midlength barrel.

As far as I know, the export variants that we will see don't even include the blind marked Super charging handle, a BCG or the coveted Surefire 4 prong flash hider.

I fixed that for you ;)
If anyone wants a review of the URGI here is an excellent one (and yes, you can hear the PING from every shot from that flash hider

Is that ping present on the 3-prong?

It's present on every prong design, except for a few silencerco models that have uneven prongs.

But here's a little life hack regarding pronged flash hiders and ringing.
You don't actually hear it when you're shooting. It's like people that complain of "buffer spring noise", do you really think you're going to hear either of them over the sounds of gunfire? Probably the same dudes that have their guns cerakoted in "battle worn"

Honestly, with my C7, I heard it clear as day, and it drove me nuts. The AR I built, I don`t hear it at all. so potato vs potato... sometimes they are issues, sometimes they aren`t.

You might want to get your hearing checked ;)

That "ping" aka tuning fork effect is pretty common. Surefire is not too bad, SEI is not bad either, but AAC is pretty famous for it When you fire the sound reverberates for awhile and everyone knows it is an AAC going off. Supposedly the sounds drives dogs crazy lol. Maybe it can be used as a coyote/wolf disperser on a pest control rifle !

Yes, you can definitely tell the difference as a firer.

I have been looking for these on the Armseast website, did I miss them? Anyone know where these are in stock in Canada?

I see CSC has the full upper. I am curious about the price of the bare upper. I don't really need any BGC, charging handle and all that other stuff.

Seriously, I am really just curious about the hand guard. I would have gone with the MK14 if it is not for all the holes they put on the 12 of the rail...I don't like my laser getting steamed by the hot air from the barrel and gas tube.
