Purchased my first GemPro 250 in 2013 from Old Will Knots Scales, it worked fine until it started to drift in 2017, at which time I returned it with copy of the original receipt. The replacement worked fine until 2019, when it started to drift. With the COVID restrictions, I packed the scale back it's box with a copy of the original receipt and email correspondence from 2017 about the replacement. Fast forward to June of this year, after a brief discussion with Old Will Knots, they directed me to HBI International for the warranty inquiry. Informed that this scale is no longer being manufactured, they opened a Claim No. for me and asked me to submit a brief letter and copies of receipt(s). I did so and today I received a US Money Order for the original purchase price.

Nice to know that some companies still stand behind their products.

I did not bother inquiring..... I had enough fun with the GemPro 250..........

That kind of sums up my thoughts too. I try to buy things like scales once.

It turned out well for you, at least they stood behind their product and you got your investment back.

The electronic world we live in is filled with marvelous consumer products that make our lives easier in the short term, then aggravate us til we replace them.

No, I don't use a pocket watch or rely on smoke signals to communicate, at least not recently. And I'm reading and replying on a phone that has a gazillion times the capability of the first computer I owned back in the late 80's/early 90's.

Just saying.

I bought one years ago and after a couple years the same thing happened to my scale - couldn't find the receipt so I couldn't get it fix - it now sits in it's original packaging on my wall of mistakes

Now I only use mechanical scales like RCBS 10-10 and RCBS 5-10
