GemTech M1A Thread Adapter

Does anyone have experience with this thread adapter?
I currently have a USGI barrel which has been cut to 18.5" and rethreaded (.595x32). Here is a picture of my barrel threading:



I am mainly wondering if this adapter will fit on my barrel. I know the threads line up, but on standard M1A threading there are spine slots: Here is a picture of the spine slots or whatever they are called (this is not my barrel in this picture):



My question is will my barrel threading (first picture) work with the GemTech M1A thread adapter even though I do not have the spine slots on traditional M1A threading (2nd picture)?

As long as the thread size is exactly the same on both parts you want to put together, they will fit. Cutting those slots is a milling operation, done after threads are turned.
 
A better question is can you get one in Canada? Alot of their products are not for sale to Canadian civilians. I could see them not having much interest in going through the hassle of export licensing. But if you can get one though, theyre a nice looking adapter. They're a direct connect so I think it should work. Email them a pic and ask.
 
You may run into an issue with not having the bearing surface (larger diameter) behind the threads and may wish to make a spacer/shim for robustness' sake.
