I might have to purchase something in this price range and would like to know what the best bang for the buck would be. Cheaper would definitely be better. Thanks in advance.

You can get somthing Russian in that price there is few dealers who sell them, I dealt with three and they were 100% good. Eastwave, zenit camera, rugift, redbay
Also there is a seller from Israel on ebay I bought meprolight from him he sometimes has them. You would have to e-mail him and ask he is also good.
If you ever delt with zahal drop him a line I think his name is Daviv he can get them plus no export restrictions for gen 2 fro Israel. Russian price is ussualy more becouse of Ministry of defence permit
 
Cheapest Russian Gen 2 starts at 744 US. Are you looking for gun sight, binoculars or googles?
