These are popular in the states because it is part of making a pistol California compliant. I don’t remember the specifics, but I heard about it on a podcast a couple years back. Same reason you won’t see 18.5” sub2000s in the states.

If you really want something crazy like that, you can buy one through one of the Canadian importers. I Run Guns, ######, Prophet River, and I think one or two others. It will add cost, but it is possible.
