Gen 4 Glock?

The only confirmed fact I have heard on the Gen4 is they have an ambi mag release and new magazines.
"New mags have a horizontal notch on the front face for the new frames, as well as the old notch. All mags will work in the old frames, only the new mags will work in the new frames."

you can already stick a glock lower into that carbine body they sell for 1911s and glocks.
and you can also get that stock for glock models

Nester's referring to the old rumour that Glock will have a Carbine "shortly"...not sure when the rumour offically started...probably in the 80's

Aggreed Canuck223, thats the reason I didn't buy one is the fact that I cant reach either the mag or the slide release. I thought I had medium sized hands. M&P's fit like a fresh pair of tighty whities

I might have to consider owning one.
Glock still dominates the law enforcement market, but lately they've been losing contracts because some tenders have been specifically asking for pistols that do not require the trigger to be pulled to be disassembled. If they decided to make a change for that, it will be a pretty radical overhaul. Not really a "Gen 4" but more like a "Ver. 2.0". Right now I'm up in the air as to whether I should get a Glock or a Springfield XD. Now all this crazy rumour-mongering about a "Gen 4" has me worrying that I should wait a bit.
