Looking for advice on these projectiles. My club checks ammo with a magnet to make sure there is no steel core; unfortunately bullets that merely have a steel jacket also fail the test. If any one uses these bullets, please let me know if they stick to a magnet?! Thanks.

U.S. Military M80 is gilding metal clad steel with a lead core, meaning a copper/zink clad steel jacket.

If its the M80A1 it will have a lead free core.

Please forgive my ignorance bigedp51, but that sounds like the jacket IS magnetic, i.e., it WILL stick to a magnet?
