Anyone know if it is possible to create a bolt action (just action) that takes M14 mags? Just want to know, going to try it if possible (ME project) and would like to get feedback from some more experienced people.

Would look amazingly cool and detachable mag is a nice touch too. If anyone has any more ideas as of better mags to use that would be easier...please PM me.

thx,
MM

Sure you can, If you spend enough time, it possible, but Can or Can't, it up to you!

Isnt the AIA rifle capable of using M14 mags. ive seen them use the mag out of AIA in a nork, you just have to cut a relief in the mag for the op rod

Robar stateside used to modify Ruger and Remington BA's for M14 mags back in the 70's and 80's. You'd still be spanked by the M14 5 shot restriction though, unless you designed your own mags specifically for this application. - dan

Yes, Robar Industries did that conversion on Remington actions
and, IIRC, on their own clones of Rem actions until late in the 90's
(M14 mag conversion and FN mag conversion as well).
I had one of their conversions for M14 mag. It was nicely made.

If you are going to do that, I would go with Accuracy International mags. They are a proven performer and have 10 shot capacity and are readily available. ( Wolverine has them listed as a stock item) and it would be just a case of doing bottom metal as opposed to an action
