General Price Advice Wanted

I wanted to ask the Mauser experts here. I am thinking of selling my Yugo M48A 8mm ALL matching numbers with sling rifle, it is still in cosmo and it was NEVER fired by me. The rifling is very good and the stock has no cracks but some dings. The rifle stock or metal has never been redone.

I know there are No pictures for you to see yet BUT I was wondering ballpark what could I ask for it?

Given that matching/still in csomo, Yugo M48 are still available retail for $450-$500, I would expect $400-$450 on the secondary market (basically, a 10%-ish markdown from retail).

The M38(A) is refurbished i believe? The M38 is not.

Either way they sell for $450-$500 new soaked in cosmo.

If yours is possibly fired I would say $400-$450 at best. Not much incentive to buy used when they are only a few more bucks new.

You will probably get more if you trade it honestly.

I could be wrong on this but I was under the impression that the M48A was new but had the crests scrubbed or not engraved because they were clandestinely being sold to some middle east nation. I have one of each and both are still wrapped/soaked in cosmoline with all matching numbers.

I think your pricing is pretty close though.

You may be right. I can't remember what they said when I bought mine. I bought one of each and sold the M38A because I likes the M38 more. My M38A had all the crests tho.

I still cant find ammo locally to shoot mine. Lol.

He also sets up a table at pretty much any gun show in AB and the southern BC interior. Just don't expect to be able to haggle with him, especially if his wife is staring over his shoulder (and she's ALWAYS staring over his shoulder at gun shows, keeping track of every single penny that passes through his hands).
