General Prohibition on .223 ammo soon?

We in sales are also shooters so aren't out just to make a sale.

It depends on which .223 you are looking for and what kind your retailer stocks. .223 with 55gr FMJ is backordered because of LE & military use of components. Hunting rounds with SP, JHP and other types of bullets are available if your retailer normally stocks them.

Seems here most members only want FMJ's and those are the ones in short supply everywhere.

If there is money to be made in making 223 .The companies will increase production .

+2, And methinks that any ammo shortages at your local shop can be attributed to the shop not doing it's homework and finding a better wholesaler/importer, or just being plain lazy.

Also keep in mind that Monopoly's are a traditional Canadian business practice.

The firearms business is just like any other, they create phoney panics so people will buy now and then release more stock so people will buy later. We really shouldn't be falling for this anymore.

I had a guy who's a friends cousins neighbour tell me that AR15's are going to be prohibited soon and he'll give me a good deal on his sweet olympic arms one, only $2300! He's a former Navy SEAL Delta Airborne Commando so i figure he can't be wrong :D Oh and he told me that he has no need for a 5.56 rifle, he's going to be a real man and shoot a 7.62 rifle because just the sound of him chambering a round in to it will cause enemy combatants within a 60km radius to soil their pants! :dancingbanana:

5.56 over 30 cal was settled by the military years ago, both produce wounds that are indentical with ball ammo. You can pack around double the ammo with 5.56..and i was glad the military switched over to the c7.
Through walls eh...not with shoulder controlled rifles...Ca ca mierda. No ammo shortages around here, mind you the military won't use .223 rem.

I'm glad to hear it's only a rumour, because I could only get 2 boxes at Wholesale Sports in Lethbridge. I talked our local Co-Op into stocking it but they can't seem to get any...warehouses are backordered. Perhaps just a high demand at this time of year. I am definitely going to buy some reloading equipment!

P&D in Edmonton had lots of .223 in bulk packs when I was in there today.

Sounds like back in 2000 when I rushed out and bought my first Ar15 because no more were coming into the country...ever. I have since learned my lesson listening to retail commando's.

Hey Slavex, do you take EMT?
