General thoughts on this ...

I am thinking of buying a S&M 22a as my first gun and was wondering what you CGN thought of the gun in general.
Also wondering how much I should pay for it, in canadian funds.

I have never used an S&M 22a, does it beat you and then beg forgiveness? I have however, used many a S&W 22, including the 22a. While not one of my favorite 22s, it is a decent starter gun. Used, I would never pay more then $250 for one. - dan

Thanks for the heads up but I will be trying to buy the one in the link and buy it new.
Not to sure if I would be ready to buy a used gun, not unless I knew the person selling it really well. I just don't have enough expereince to know what to look for.

Have never shot a S&W .22, but have been very impressed by the accuracy and reliability of the 5946 9mm... Not that I would have ever bought myself one, but it is a well-manufactured piece of hardware.

I think the S&M guns are best if they've been used, a lot. And never clean them, they're dirty guns, oh yes they are.

If you want the bullseye gun, buy S&W 41

I've been looking at the 22a myself... specifically the camo one advertised by Frontier.
