Generation 2 CSA VZ58 magwell adapters

CSA in .223 with magwell adapter works flawlessly for me , aside from a little filing to some mags to get them to work smooth.

The plastic adapter worked fine for me as well just on the inside of the Magwell some material started to break away where the mag release buttons spring is. This didn't affect anything really. I just wanted something stronger for peace of mind.

So, sadly the feeding issues have come up again on my 7.62 CSA. The rounds aren't feeding right about 30 - 50% of the time, depending on how many are loaded in the XCR mags. The rounds aren't feeding at a high enough angle and so the tips just hit the receiver wall just in front of the ramp/barrel. I'm a bit hesitant to snap off the adapter's feed lips as id64 did, but I'm not sure what else to do...

I have one of the early models that require the machining in order to fit the adapter. Was the free machining/adapter a one time offer back in 2012 or is it still in effect? thanks

how do you tell if it needs machineing? i have a low serial number 223 model.

I have the CSA magwell adapter on my CSA Sporter in 7.62x39 with XCR-L 7.62x39 pistol mags and it works flawlessly. got about 2500 rounds through it in that configuration.
